The lovechild of Coldplay and Cartel?

This EP blew my mind. Literally. It's blown. Easton is not the regular mediocre emo-alternative band you see oh too often. Their pop-punk vibe, along with some of the greatest music I've heard in a long time, keeps you paying attention throughout every song. The reason I said it as a Coldplay-Cartel type of music, was because their vocals, although not top notch (just like Will Pugh from Cartel), are very acceptable. Their music, though, is extremely above anything you would here from regular newbies. It's the incredible piano and exciting guitar that keep you on your toes, like something you may here from Coldplay. A great example would be, probably my favorite track, Sending Letters to Jersey. The first two and a half minutes are catchy, slightly depressing lyrics and wonderfully set-up vocals. You expect the entire song to be so. Right as you begin to feel this song is familiar, the singing just does not continue. The solos are impecable. The entire EP is perfect, from the music to the vocals to the lyrics to the chords. Excuse me for being so excited, but this is not the norm. It's genius.

Great Ep

easton has the type of music that just takes you away. it doesnt matter if its a catchy tune like "rewind today" or a soft mellow one like "whatever i was thinking" i bought the whole ep and i just cant get enough of it. seeing them live is even better. buy the ep, its definitly worth it

Loved these songs

Never heard of these guys until I stumbled across them on purevolume. They are young and unsigned but somehow managed to put out better stuff than half of the established big name bands out there. The songs are catchy and their cd isn't too sugary and over produced like many pop rock bands. Are they the next Beatles? I would say probably not but they are one of those bands that have the ability to put out a cd with every song as good as the next. I will keep listening to this band and look forward to new music.
