This album really should go down as a classic in the emerging US black metal scene.

if you like metal then buy this. this album does not disappoint...it delievers the goods!

Epic at it's best

Dear god man, noone can describe how brutal and (surprisingly) deep this band is. It's like combining Opeth, Tool, and Pink Floyd and topping it all off with a voice to combat Gorgoroth. I'm surprised how underrated this band is when they have such amazing talent. Buy the entire album, it delivers the goods.

Originally a solo project of Phil McSorley going by the name of Grimness Enshroud (McSorley did release a demo under this moniker, but it was to be the sole release as such) Colorado black metal group Cobalt was formed (and named) when drummer Erik Wunder came on board. Their first EP, Hammerfight, came to be in 2003, and was followed by the full-length War Metal in 2005. Their second album, Eater of Birds, featured an appearance by avant-rock legend...
