fantastic folk mayhem
I don't know who they are, or where they're from...but they came camping with me and lived within the trees...I ain't no hippie fantatic, but I'm a campfire addict. This moved with the flames and soothed the soul while cooking eggs and potatoes through the early morning movements. Thank you misterious friends!
All Over the Map... in a Good Way
The Fugitives can't seem to decide if they're reciting poetry, rapping, singing bar room stomping folk music, or crooning acoustic melodies. The strange fusion of such disparate parts is what makes this such an intriguing album... definitely worth a listen. Standouts are "Pickled," "Start a War," and "Funeral" (the last of which is a vocally powerful, and quirkily upbeat number about one of the least upbeat events in the world...)
