Great EP of the Shoegaze Genre
The first track reminds me a bit of Ride (in a good way). But from there Echodrone carves out more of their own niche. “Alone” is a tune of the "Shoegaze" genre that is an amalgam of the best of their influences. “Lost in Translation” rounds out the EP with a 9 minute dreamy song that harkens a bit to The Cure mixed with Ride ala Chapterhouse; with some nice synth thrown in.
If you’re a Shoegaze fan and enjoy the likes of Slowdive, Ride, Bethany Curve, and newer bands such as The Meeting Places, Daniel Land and the Modern Painters, A Shoreline Dream, et al. This is a great little EP to pick up.
