They're Lying To You My Friends!

The review above cites this as a good place to begin an exploration of Nusrat's legacy, this my friends is false. Many of these tracks aren't the roots qawwali sound that really conveys the traditional and the immense talent of Mr. Khan. A lot of these are like, the westernized, dentist office world music crap. If you're new to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, then go get an album like "Night Songs" which keeps it real and don't start here, don't play it safe, if you're gonna explore a remote land then go into the villages don't stay in hotel. Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan is an unbelievable force of beauty and joy, his music is simply amazing, but don't start here. Walk out of Starbucks and brew your coffee under the stars.

Funky, danceable, spiritual

while, as others have noted, this might not be a good place to begin your exploration of the true works of Nusret Fateh Ali Khan, this CD will be attractive to fans of techno, funk, reggae, world music. It's danceable, funky and spiritual. Nusret's voice is amazing above all the tracks here. My favorites are Ecstasy and Prayer to Allah. As a remix album, this is one of the best.

great album - iTunes download has a lot of skipping

This would be one of my favorite albums if the skipping on the tracks were not so obvious. iTunes needs to fix this problem. I would recommend buying the physical CD if you can and then ripping it into iTunes yourself.
