Seriously annoyed at Itunes.

I have typed out a30-line plus review THREE TIMES, and Itunes simply won't post it. As Itunes apparently thinks a short review will be more helpful, here you go: buy it. I'd go into actual detail, but apparently that would be too intelligent.

This isn't SOAD, don't hate.

I NEVER write reviews on here, but I was amazed that I saw all the low ratings and harsh words for this album, and had to say something. Yes, this is not SOAD, its not even close, but its not supposed to be. When everyone from SOAD went and did their own thing, they made it clear that they would create new sounds. I mean, Shavo founded an effing rap group for Christ's sake. If you ONLY like SOAD, head-banging, bass-blasting music and nothing else, you're not going to like it, I'll say that right now. So, don't buy it, but don't hate it, its not your type of music. I don't go on iTunes and go around to the the Miley Cyrus albums, telling everyone how much I hate it, why would I?

Personally I think this is one of the most beautiful albums I've ever heard. Serj's voice and song writing is perfect for the symphony. I especially love the new song Gate 21, I'm hoping its on Music Without Borders, because I really want to hear a studio version and see what Serj does with it. Empty Walls is amazing, much like the multiple other versions of the song that exist. I wasn't much for Feed Us on ETD, but on ETDS, I LOVE it, the symphony's "solo", if you want to call it that, is fantastic. At first, I wasn't sure why Unthinking Majority wasn't on here, but the fact is, there probably was no way to convert it to the symphony, and I don't really miss it. The Charade is probably my only black mark on the album, I love the studio version, but it doesn't translate. Its much like Unthinking Majority, its too Chaotic and SOAD-ish for this outlet. With that said, even with it being the worst song on the album, its still very good. I still give this album 5/5, I could listen to it over and over again, I literally have to force myself to stop.

ETD

Nothing you wouldn't expect from Serj Tankian. Beauty at it's finest.
