Very impressed!
I've been waiting to hear what The New Monarchs would do ever since I heard Kiss Me At The Gate and I was excited to see where they would go from there. I am happy to say that the production value, songwriting, and individual performances have only gotten better. This album hits harder than Blueprints did, and has a lot of emotional grit beneath the taught lyrics. Standout tracks: (3) Still, Again - for fans of Kiss Me At The Gate; (4) Six or 12 - the closest the album gets to a club banger.
Overall a solid 5 track EP that leaves me wanting more. Here's to hoping a new full length album isn't too far off.
