Alternative?
How can this be put in Alternative? That wasn't even a category when these tracks were originally issued. This is folk music, pure and simple.
Quality music
Folk music you say ? Most of these songs have such a soulful quality, it's refreshing to hear.
Classic Folk Music!
If you want the most authentic of the early Elektra Acoustic artists, then this is the sampler for you. My favorite is Josh White, no one else songs like him. And David Ackels is impossible to find. Great collection of rarities and popular songs together! Well done!
