Deva Premal's Embrace expands on the Eastern Indian fusion and ethereal vocals of her previous work, combining timeless mantras with contemporary arrangements. Musically, Embrace ranges from "Om Namo Bhagavate"'s light synthesizer textures to "Hari Om Shiva Om"'s call-and-response structure and lush, intricate percussion, with "Shante Prashante"'s lively electronic rhythms falling somewhere in between. Other highlights include the charming "Rang De" and the hypnotic finale "Teyata." While these extended musical meditations might be repetitive, they're far from boring — Premal's crystalline vocals and the beauty of the mantras themselves make Embrace a gently uplifting listening experience.

Magical Music
If magic is the power of intention behind your thoughts, words, and action then this music is pure magic. Singers of any musical genre would greatly benefit from learning to use the vocal sounds generated by these mantras; the richness and diveristy of Deva Premal music opens these mantra to a greater musical population.
Simply BEAUTIFUL in capital letters!
A friend of mine suggested I listen to OM NAMO BHAGAVATE to see if I liked Deva's voice. I did. I was absolutely hipnotized by her beautiful voice. Too bad the highest possible rating here is 5 stars because she deserves at least 5 more!.
