listen and listen and listen...
captivating. taking the physical and making it musical, the songs embody the esence of the locations from which inspired the music. as most jazz of this caliber, the musical performance is outstanding but the recording quality and mixing are also a strong "instrument" in the equation. it's a fun and enriching journey with melodies anyone can relate to regardless of music genre. has to be a benchmark album for the fusion of jazz/blues/fusion market (aka spin town which features near orchestral levels to f jam which drives a deep groove of funk with heavy overtones of smooth floating melody).
