A solid re-mix of Emily's Heart and a fantastic cover
This single (+ bonus) album is really great. It hilights Jamie's versatility and Atlantic City is a real standout.
Emily's Heart is re done a bit from the version on Kings on Queens, with a little more rhythm, a little more pace from the melodic guitar backings (but very similar overall). A good song off of an even better album. Atlantic City is a Bruce Springsteen cover (which may go without saying, but...) and has rapidly shot up my list of Jamie T favorites. It's got a fantastic pace and melody, re-imagines the original significantly while keeping a sort of pessimistic enmity that is appropriate given the original and the lyrics. Seriously catchy, very sharply sung, and a good, fast song. 5/5!
