good buy
lemme tell you question authority is a awesome song... a little on the side of taking back sunday, if you like the singer there... it sounds similar to them. yeah album pretty good though.
Wonderful Album
All of the songs are great. But Question Authority by the Knockout Kings is probably the greatest. BUY BUY BUY! Also listen to the other songs by the knockout kings on their myspace!
Brave ... Very Brave
Nice to see that this deep elm comp series that started in the late 90's is still at it today. I think it's brave that they continue to label these comps "emo" despite the weird direction that term has taken over the past few years. Judging from the title, they want their genre back. (If you're not familiar with emo, or if you think YOU are emo, or if you think you HATE emo, check wikipedia's entry for "emo" ... it's a good one.) This music is still a good representation of "indie emo" that started with such bands as Jimmy Eat World, Camber, JeJune, Appleseed Cast, etc. If you're looking for good, indie emo, this is it. Buy the previous 10 emo diary chapters too. If you're looking for "modern emo" or "screamo" (with people who can't sing doing that weird, breathy, whisper-screaming thing) look elsewhere, this isn't it. And for that other garbage ... why don't we start using the term "New Goth"? Written by a guy who is definitely not "emo."
