Album Review
Although it has a couple of slow spots, Ridel High's debut album Emotional Rollercoaster is by and large an entertaining collection of spiky punk-pop songs. Serious-minded listeners might find the group's irreverence a little irritating, but they should be won over by their propulsive energy and tight, melodic hooks.

Joey Cape
Joey Cape (Lagwagon) produced this record. Self Destructive is as goo as anything by Weezer or Nerf Herder (also produced by Joey Cape). It is too bad Ridel High didn't catch on. If you don't get the record, at least get Self Destructive. Its killer. And while you're at it, get Nerf Herder's first record and anything by Lagwagon. Pretty much anything Joey Cape from lagwagon touches is great. He produced this, nerf Herder's debut, an early Ataris EP, and he is in Me First and the gimme Gimmes, Bad Atronaut, the Playing Favorites, SCORPIOS, and he has solo acoustic stuff and a rock band called Joey Cape's Bad Loud. Get stoked.
