Album Review

Carl Thomas' aptly named debut album, Emotional, delivers smooth, romantic R&B ballads like the title track, "My Valentine," "Come to Me," "Special Lady," and "Summer Rain." Although somewhat lacking in distinction, the set features competent singing, songwriting, and production (care of Puff Daddy), and Thomas' voice is impressive.

Customer Reviews

One Of the Most Underrated

If all was fair in life, this album would have made Carl Thomas a superstar. This may be the greatest album to ever come out of Diddy's Bad Boy camp. There is not a weak song to be found. Each joint is soulful in a traditional way yet the production is so inventive that it sounds like nothing else you're likely to hear. Carl's voice is clean and classic sounding. Check for "Supastar", "Come to Me" "My Valentine" and "Giving You All My Love".

An R&B MUST HAVE

This album is far better than words can express...

One of the Best

This album is hands down one of the best ever!!!! Most guys have a hard time giving another man credit for what he does well. This brother put out a classic for sure. I've had this album for 6 yrs and still play it, I can't say that for anything else I have.
