Album Review
This live album was recorded during May of 2004 at shows held in Tijuana and Phoenix. It's like a live greatest-hits album with a well-selected repertoire. The early material from the band's '80s output is covered in songs "Por el Resto," "La Muralla Verde," and "Guitarras Blancas." A bunch of songs from later albums can also be heard, like "Francés Limón," "Amores Lejanos," and "Luz de Día." Although the group is Argentinean, the bandmembers have settled in Mexico since the mid-'90s, and they pay tribute to this kind of fragmented nationality when choosing songs to cover. Mexico is represented with Los Bukis' classic "Tu Piel" and Argentina with Los Abuelos de la Nada's "Mil Horas." Guitarist Felipe Staiti handles lead vocals in "Ay Dolores," a song that reveals not only his own limitations as a singer but the group's as well, when Los Enanitos Verdes try to move beyond their Wings-infused pop/rock formula. This album is specially interesting for fans, and works well as a document of the popularity achieved by Los Enanitos Verdes in their two-decade career. ~ Iván Adaime, Rovi

I don't speak a word of Spanish, but this is one of the best albums I've ever heard. Every song is unique but has the same great feel. I would rate it up there with a Hotel California or Rattle and Hum. It's just fantastic upbeat music with interesting tunes interjected with Carlos Santa type rifs combined with excellent vocals. Great Musicianship! Great Rock and Roll! I don't know how you say that in Spanish.
THE BEST IS YET TO COME!!!
The album is without a doubt a jewel... and it raises the standard for live albums around the world... everyway you look at it....I think the guy that wrote the review of the album must not have been paying attention to the quality of the lyrics or the superb musicianship of the band... Felipe staiti is gotta be one of the most prolific guitarrist of the latin rock world... and Marciano Cantero's delivery is magnificent... (in "mi primer dia sin ti", "frances limon", "eterna soledad") He also overlooks all the acomplishments of the band... 1. The first latin rock band to sign with an american label 2. The longest running latin rock act to date (26 years and going) 3. The platinum record they've received for EN VIVO 4. Ohh and I almost forgot the GRAMMY NOMINATION for EN VIVO (they've been nominated 3 times) haven't won one yet but I know it's coming some day....
