Absolutely Stunning!

UNKLE was a band I stumbled upon through video games oddly enough. My first Album of theirs was War Stories and then I purchased Never, Never, Land. Those two remained at the top of my listening charts and now End Titles has easily replaced that. Never, Never, Land offered a very ominous tone, War Stories came with a hard hitting album and the only way I can describe this album is Epic! Trouble in Paradise is a perfect example. They have done it again!

it reminds me..

i remember "Edit Music for a Film: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Reconstruction" from UNKLE back in 2005, James Lavelle is the pure essence of UNKLE and has created a broad amount of styles like including trip-hop in "Psyence Fiction", electronic in "Never Never Land" and rock in "War Stories" it is hard to choose a best one, as each is the best in their style, when you listen to tracks like "Lonely Soul" or "Be There" in "Psyence Fiction" you fin a big difference from "In A State" and "Reign" or "Restless" and "Hold My Hand", having had so many great singles it was time to bring back the "Film" idea, a reinterpretation of the x-files by UNKLE was chosen to appear on the upcoming film, and i'm sure you've heard them in alot of tv commercials, you get a 5/5 from me.

Not War Stories, but pretty good

Let me start by saying that I LOVED War Stories. "Restless" was my song of the year 2007. This album is very different- less driving beats and more ambient and mellow. Still very nice. I love "Chemical" because I loved "Chemistry" on War Stories, and that's what this is, just with lyrics from Homme. I also enjoy "Nocturnal" and "Can't Hurt", but the best track is probably "24 Frames".

Biography

Formed: 1994 in London, England

Genre: Electronic

Years Active: '90s, '00s, '10s

Experimental hip-hop outfit UNKLE were one of the original artists releasing material through noted U.K. label Mo' Wax, which helped launch the instrumental mid-'90s downtempo breakbeat revival eventually termed trip-hop. Though hardly the label's highest-profile group (at least until the long-delayed release of their debut LP in 1998), UNKLE's members included label head James Lavelle, who formed Mo' Wax while still in his teens as an antidote to the increasingly stale acid jazz/Northern soul scene....
