iTunes Review

This Southern California trio has virtually perfected a sub-genre of music (arena punk?) that sports goofy songs, teenage angst, and loud, catchy guitar riffs. They may not have the legendary aura of the Ramones, but they're arguably just as entertaining. Over the 12 tracks of Enema of the State, we get anthemic songs, hilarious lyrics, and a pop sensibility that helped this album sell millions of copies. Years after being overplayed on the radio, "What's My Name Again" is still infectious and silly. The rest of the album hardly slows down, 2i5h "Dysentery Gary" and "The Party Song" showcasing just how smart a bunch of dumb songs can be.
