iTunes Review
This partial edition of the Warren Zevon tribute Enjoy Every Sandwich features a diverse array of musicians as well as Adam Sandler. Sandler enjoys himself with a tough, dense take on Zevon’s most famous song, “Werewolves of London,” showing just how indestructible the song really is. Zevon’s son Jordan contributes the touching “Studebaker,” an unreleased Senior Zevon track that proves the family’s music gene is intact. Billy Bob Thornton gargles his way through one of Zevon’s final compositions, the unreleased track “The Wind.” Zevon’s steady collaborator, Jorge Calderon, along with the always- stunning Jennifer Warnes, works through one of Zevon’s most tender ballads, “Keep Me In Your Heart.” Legendary post-punkers the Pixies pull out a raw and aggressive take on “Ain’t That Pretty At All.” Master musicians David Lindley and Ry Cooder have a great time with “Monkey Wash, Donkey Rinse.” Jill Sobule holds together the heartbreaking truth of “Don’t Let Us Get Sick.” Zevon’s music is for the ages.

Enjoy a bite of "Sandwich"
Too bad only the partial album is available here, but the standout track, "Studebaker", featuring Jordan Zevon with Jakob Dylan is worth the price of admission. My advice? Pick up the real CD, or buy "Studebaker" if the rest doesn't interest you. In any event, Warren would be proud.
What a Tribute
But again we get the shaft as ITunes only offers a partial album. The true genius of this man shows through when you hear other artists, including Sandler and Thornton, do justice to the songs. What a loss it was when Z left us, we can only hope that Jordan decides to pick up his father's mantle. Sorry ITunes, but I have to recommend to everyone that they go out and buy the complete CD somewhere.
OFFER THE WHOLE DISC!
Why is it only "partial?!" iTunes cut out the good songs but kept the bad ones! They left out Henley's "Searching For a Heart," The Wallflower's "Lawyers, Guns, and Money," but they left "Monkey Wash, Donkey Rinse" and "Don't Let us Get Sick!" The three worth downloading off of here are "Werewolves," "Studebaker" and "Ain't That Pretty at All." This is an excellent disc but sadly only some is availible. Songs like "Don't Let Us Get Sick" and "Keep Me in Your Heart" are strictly Zevon only. No one can remake them. But download the recommended three. Also download "The Wind," an unreleased Zevon song performed by his close friend Billy Bob Thornton, who's vocals are perfect for the song.
