Envy

Envy's EP is amazing, can't wait for the full length album. And for those of you who wish that EOTC doesn't make it mainstream so their music won't change, I've been best friends with the drummer Dan, since kindegarten and I can honestly say I've never known somebody with as much passion for something as Dan and his music. I'm pretty sure all the other guys are the same way so I'm sure that the music won't change WHEN they do make it mainstream, so if you're a true fan wish them the best and don't hope they won't make it big for your own satisfaction.

THE BEST NEW BAND. PERIOD.

Learn to love Envy On The Coast, because you're going to be hearing a lot more from them in the future. If this is just the EP, I can't even imagine how amazing this band will be after they've matured a bit and put together an entire album! These guys are amazing. The sound is polished and has a great edge to it. They're different from other bands, in that they've got the whole catchy, pop-punk thing going on, but they still can have those tougher screamo-esque moments, too. And the whole thing blends together seamlessly. I'd recommend Suckerpunch most of all, but Paperback & Temper Temper are great, too. If you're a fan of Fueled by Ramen bands like The Academy Is... and This Providence, you'll love these guys.

The Next Big Thing

This is a brilliant band. The guys that make up Envy are some of the most sincere and friendly guys out there, not to mention they put on an awesome show. This EP will have you thinking of everything from Death Cab For Cutie to Queen, and you'll find yourself humming Temper Temper non-stop for the next month. That is possibly the most catchy song in existance right now. I can only hope these guys stay together for a long time and put out tons of music. If ever there was a band that deserved to go places, this is it.

Long Island emo-rockers Envy on the Coast formed around friends Brian Byrne (guitar/vocals), Ryan Hunter (vocals/guitar), Jeremy Velardi (bass), and Sal Bossio (piano) under the influence of bands like the Foo Fighters and Queen, though their music was actually more in line with bands like Something Corporate or Saves the Day. The friends had been playing together for a year before drummer Dan Gluszak was welcomed into the fray in January 2005. The crew next hooked up with former Hit Factory producer/engineer...
