Roots Reggae Rasta 4 everyone!!
Natty Dread Sicilian Rastafari named Alborosie? I kno I said da same thing, but dis guy is authentic. Dis is stunning material from an artist I had no idea even existed 12 hours ago....But DAM are his riddims thick, feels like those bass lines have no bottom watsoever! Great horn work, slow old school roots vibes wit a dash of dub, ear popping synth work gives it a brand new taste, true rasta msg spreading the love of the all high JAH...Dis guys voice is eerily haunting of the golden days of Bob, Toots, Sly & Robbie, Burning Spear...Truly epic find despite his unusual name for a Rastafarian, but when you consider him to be an Italian Rastafarian it makes a lot more sense. Buy!!!
Great Music
Good reggae, this guy knows what he's doin. It may be odd that he is from Sicily and talks and sings like a man from Jamaica but it doesn't matter cause good music is good music. I'd give it a 5 except i hate his "America" song. God Bless America
Why hate on America?
Why single out America? There is good and bad in every country. What's funny about this group is they haven't come up with an original song name on the whole album. All have been previously used by past roots reggae artists. Again, I ask, why turn off your American fans with a song like "America"? Isn't reggae about bringing people from all races, creed and country together? I'm disappointed, but I can't deny that alborosie has some talent.
