Great album however,
There are skips all over the place on this! I finally find a artist/album that I've wanted for years and it skips.
Somewhere - At Last !!!!!
I have been looking for this version of "Somewhere" for years - to no avail - until now!!! I had it on a Disconet many years ago, but some slug at the club I worked at pinched it and I was never able to replace it. Back in the day - or should I say back in the wee hours of the morning of back in the day, I would mix out of Voyage's "Souvenirs" into Vicki's "Somewhere" and the crowd would go absolutely ga-ga. I get goosebumps remembering it. It was probably the most satisfying and palpable moments of shared elation I experienced in all my years of spinning. Thank You Redzone!!!!! Thank You i-Tunes!!!!!
"Let me Take You Dancing"
You gotta love the Internet! "Let Me Take You Dancing" was Canadian Rocker Bryan Adams first ever release. And yes, it was a disco track. But shortly after it's release, Adams released his first rock album and he blew up. The lable did all it could to make "Let me Take You Dancing" disapear. (I have a copy on 12") So when Ms Shepard not only covered it, but it was a huge hit in the UK & US High ENERGY charts, supposedly Adam's lable tried to prevent the single from being released in Canada. They didn't . . . So all these years later, and look, it's the #1 download off the album. Isn't life funny?
