Fresh band continues to ripen!
I found out about BBC about 2 months ago and was instantly impressed with their unique, refreshing sound. With Steadman's melodic vocals accompaned with the rest of BBC's simplistically catchy guitar riffs and imaculate druming makes listening to these young men truley a treat for the ears. Music like this is not supposed to be conceived by kids still in high school, but BBC continues to impress. I have not heard a song out of the two EPs or this single that i have not loved. Until they come out with a full length CD I will be patiently awaiting them to keep establishing their fan base so they can make their way to the states, particularly Columbus, Ohio!
PHENOMENAL!!! but...
Where's the rest of the album? Why is it only available in the UK? "I Had the Blues But I Shook Them Loose" was their first, one of their best, & maybe even, arguably, their best album. I was looking forward to buying songs like "Dust on the Ground" (not acoustic version), Evening/Morning (which I now bought from this EP), "Magnet", and "Lamplight". I love this band and I'll still continue to buy their songs, but not having a whole album (especially their first) is very disappointing. The point is, I would love to see the album being brought back and although this band is very underrated here in the US, they still have LOTS of fans here and I'm pretty sure they all feel the same. The album has been out for about 2 1/2 years and still we aren't able to have access to it….
BBC continues to impress
I was in truly impressed when I first heard the two previous EPs by BBC. Their composition skills clearly surpasses an average high school band. There new single "Evening/Morning" substantiates my statement about their writing skills. It is evident in their new songs that this band, although only 17 years old, continues to grow as a group of musicians. Hopefully, they gain popularity soon so that they can come tour in the US.
