Here’s the story: I composed and performed Every Step as a message of encouragement for a friend struggling with gastroparesis – a rare stomach condition that has kept my friend from being able to eat normally for over a year now. Despite the slow and uncertain progress of my friend’s expensive treatments, therapies and operations, she has been a light to all those around her by fighting every day with hope and optimism. I wanted to let my friend know that I and her other friends love her – to keep fighting even when things look bleak and to know that we are there for her, every step of the way. I hope my song can brighten my friend’s path and give hope to everyone else out there who is struggling with a difficult challenge. Don’t give up!
