Imagine a GREAT Cover
Steve Rizzo, a Newport, Rhode Island singer/songwriter, scores with this wonderful rendition of John Lennon's universal classic, Imagine. Steve's version is clean, fresh and tastfully performed both paying homage to greatness while bringing his own unique and subtle qualities. The production polishes and preserves the purity of the song. Rizzo demonstrates a gutsy genius with being able to pull it off on a tune of this magnitude. Would love to hear more from this artist!
Imagine (John Lennon Cover) by Steve Rizzo
Totally impressive!!! It takes a unique artist to tackle a cover like "Imagine" and actually add a unique spin to the original. Steve Rizzo does just that! I've heard many artists tackle this song and I always found myself yearning for the original......but not this time. The vocals are unique and what starts off rather traditionally in terms of piano and vocals accelerates into some great drum kit and harmony work. I really wish there were more tracks by this artist available.
Exceptional
This is an exceptional digital single. Steve Rizzo who is primarily known as a producer (Belly, Kristin Hersh, etc) does one of the best covers of "Imagine" I've ever heard. It's perfection. Elk City also does an exceptional job covering "Everybody Hurts" with Renee LoBue's heartbreaking vocals and some pretty amazing guitar work by former Luna guitarist Sean Eden.
