Amazing!
This collection of four songs by Philadelphia songstress Birdie Busch is absolutely fantastic. Collaborating with her usual crew of accomplices (bassist Todd Erk, guitarist Ross Bellenoit and producer/keyboardist Devin Greenwood), these four songs come to life with original sounds and creative arrangements. "Joey" is a hilarious ode to a South Philly native, and the cover of the Soul Survivors tunes "City of Brotherly Love" is genius. Groovy, yet incredibly ethereal and moody. There's a lot of love for Philadelphia in here, and it resonates throughout these songs!

Singer/songwriter Emily "Birdie" Busch made her debut with 2006's The Ways We Try, having traded in her day job (as a restaurant hostess in downtown Philadelphia) for the folksy instrumentation and delicate-voiced melodies that characterize her music.
