Album Review
This Cincinnati outfit follows up their 2007 debut, the Two Eyes EP, with this long platter. Most of the well-titled Everything Is Alive was recorded live in the studio in Richmond, VA. Singers Joey Cook and Isaac Karns trade vocals with the looseness of Superchunk, and mix up chiming and noodling guitars in support of snatches of fuzzy pink melodies that appear almost haphazardly. And when they do have a top tune, such as the hummable "Whom/Who" and "The Bellhop," or the surprisingly Cramps-like fuzz-swamp-stomp of the jealous-suspicious "Late Night Television," they point the way to further maturity.

Fruit? Or Totally Awsome Band?
I know you. You came to their profile, and you're all about the clicking of the 30 second previews. Well, if you can find it within yourself, fall all the way down, to "Thunder Meadow", and then if you like it; click on "In the Kitchen". This is a short, fun album that has guitar riffs that sing as clear as any third voice, and songs that you won't mind listening to again as the record turns over. Try the two songs above. If they're not your thing, better luck elsewhere.
Awesome. I think so.
I'm not quite sure how this happened, but I bought this album twice and somehow disappeared off my computer both times. Is it worth buying a third time? I think so. Enjoy the magic bestowed by the lovely, Pomegranates. And look for their new album due out April 19th!
Great Band
Got dragged to see these guys live at the Black Cat in D.C. These guys blew me away with their performance-so now I must consume all of their offerings
