Album Review

After the success of her debut, Adams doesn't change the formula for her second album. Which isn't a bad thing — the stylish love ballads she sings are some of the best adult contemporary pop of the early '90s.

Funny Thing

I've probably listened to this complete album more than any album. I'd take it with me when I travelled by air. When the flight attendant announced it was okay to use portable devices, I couldn't wait to play this. Listening to Oleta while flying was the greatest comfort I could have. My personal favorites on this album are -- My Heart Won't Lie; Hold Me for a While; When Loves Comes to the Rescue; I Just Had to Hear Your Voice; Easier to Say (Goodbye); Lover's Holiday; The Day I Stop Loving You....hell, I guess I like just about all of them. I recently saw her at the Birchmere in Alex, VA (near DC). She was fanastic, but I was a little disappointed. This is the 2nd time I've seen her and she didn't sing "I Just Had to Hear Your Voice." Oleta, if you are perusing iTunes and you see this, next time you're in town you have to sing this song. Because I come to see you, just to hear your voice.

When Tears for Fears unleashed...
