Great for 1st Time Listeners, Veterans Alike

Some admissions: 1. this was the EP that introduced me to Rogue Wave via some random iMix (I owe so much to the creator) and 2. It took me way too long to realize that "Seconds" was a U2 cover. Coming off of listening to The Shins and Nada Surf, Rogue Wave secures a nice place on the shelf between the two. These reissues from Out of the Shadow shine through as cleaner, deeper, and even better than their predecessors, especially "Falcon Settles Me". Though there is more instrumentation, probably thanks to the addition of Evan, Patrick, and Gram (who were missing from the first album), the vocals somehow shine out stronger than before. The newly added band makes these already great songs even better. As for the U2 cover, take it as a sign from my ignorance that I thought it was their song. Their take on the U2 classic fits perfectly with Rogue Wave's signature sound, without (in my own opinion) disgracing the original. I love this EP because it's a perfect segway between their two albums, Out of the Shadow and Descended From Vultures. The band has progessed so much with their sound and these tracks are perfect examples of their talent.

I LOVE it. I love love love it. I entirely love it!

What a total surprise. I love all these songs in their original forms and I love them a million times more in these reconceived arrangements. Totally sweet. Totally catchy. I was addicted to this EP for a long time. Great U2 cover too! OMG.

I like rogue wave

Rogue Wave has a very nice, unique sound. So keep listening to them.

Rogue then quit his post in his previous group, the Desoto Reds, and finished the album, which was released on Rogue's own Responsive label under the title Out of the Shadow. As he was completing the record, Rogue decided to form a band in order to perform the material live, and he soon...
