Best Rush live album

Rush seemingly used live albums to delineate phases of their career. All the World's a Stage marked the end of the wailing vocal hard rock era. Exit..Stage Left marks the end of their progressive rock era. Subsequent studio releases begin to focus on sythesizers more and more. Exit..Stage Left is the album most lovers of classic Rush agree marks their apex. It's not that we don't enjoy the newer music mind you. But in my view after Exit, Rush moved away from what made Rush...Rush.

Rush!

I wore out a tape of this album back in the early 80s. I just downloaded it after seeing the new Rush documentary. Just phenomenal! Love it! So much fun!

My favorite Live Rush Album!

I think I read a review once upon a time about this album, and someone used the term "lackluster" or something like that....I actually got a bit mad about it...this was released when I was a senior in high school, and from the moment I bought it, it became a staple on the turn table. I think that this is the best version of xanadu, bar none. Largely due to Alex's guitar intro. Neil's drum solo on yyz is awesome too. Not as long as some of his later ones, but every bit as good. As i mentioned, this is my favorite Rush live album....and, you get the lovely Rushka on the album cover...how can you beat that?? J-Man
