I haven't heard all the songs, but I get the general idea

Like I said, I haven't heard all the songs, but here is my opinion. Moby really brings out his gospel side of his gospel-techno work in 18, which has its pros and cons. The pros are that it is very unique, and it is generally totally awesome (in my opinion), and the ONLY con is that he uses the Lord's name in vain in some songs (typical in gospel, unfortunately).

This is the album that Moby released after the controversy with a popular gangster rapper from some big city. That's not important. But, this album is.

From start to finish, this album is a total masterpiece. In my opinion, Moby seems to have put most of his best downtempo work here. There is nothing bad that I could say about this album. On "Jam for the Ladies", he recruited the vocal prowess of Angie Stone and classic hip-hop artist, MC Lyte. It is quite rare to hear rap lyrics over an original Moby song. On the majority of these songs, there are beautifully placed sampled lyrics over the anthemic downtempo style that Moby is most recently known for. Then there are those songs on which Moby put his own vocals on, such as "We Are All Made of Stars", "Extreme Ways", and "Signs of Love", which are also very good.

Here are a few remixed suggestions that spun off from this album, if you can find them here or elsewhere:

"We Are All Made of Stars" (Tiësto Remix)
"In My Heart" (Ferry Corsten Remix)
"Extreme Ways" (Tiësto Remix)
"Jam for the Ladies" (Jason Nevins Club Blaster Mix)

Born: September 11, 1965 in New York, NY

Genre: Electronic

Years Active: '80s, '90s, '00s

Moby was one of the most controversial figures in techno music, alternately praised for bringing a face to the notoriously anonymous electronic genre, as well as being scorned by hordes of techno artists and fans for diluting and trivializing the form. In either case, Moby was one of the most important...
