HeavyMetalSoul Perfected

The lasted from one of the most beloved yet tragically overlooked bands ever. "Face The Day" is perhaps this band's most commercial release to date however they do not compromise anything musically doing so. There is a distinct air of soulfulness among all the blazing guitar and thunderous bass ruffs. Tobias Ralph proves he is deserving to be among all the great Spyz drummers of the past. You also get to hear Bumblefoot and dUg Pinnick adding their amazing talents to the gumbo that is 24-7 Spyz. Well worth a listen. HMS4L!

Excellent and then some

I love this album and it's about time it's here on iTunes. I loved it on first listen, there was no "growing on ya" period. It rocks right off the bat! The songs are well written and have universal appeal, the musicianship is second to none! It's nice to find a band with real talent who don't need to pose, shake their privates, have an entourage of dancers, whine, or use 3,000 effects to cover up the fact that they can't play. It's all about the music no bulls**t here! The Spyz have a unique, original, true sound that hits No. 1 with me!

Wow...

All I can say is WOW! I have heard this bands name over the years but never the music. Caught a podcast from TalkingMetal.com that had the band as guests. They played a few cuts from this album and I was floored. These guys are different, a breath of fresh air in the metal world. The production is insane! Check these guys out for sure. Up The Irons!

In the wake of Living Colour's success with 1988's Vivid, several other all-black hard rock outfits soon appeared — including 24-7 Spyz. Like Living Colour, 24-7 specialized in a merger of funk and heavy metal, with often message-filled lyrics. The group's leaders from their formation in 1986 to the present day have been guitarist Jimi Hazel (a gentleman who took his first and last names from two of his favorite guitarists — Jimi Hendrix and Funkadelic's Eddie Hazel) and bassist Rick...
