Great up and coming band from Seattle for Indie Rock Fans Alike
They have really come a long way since they started Touring the NW. This album is a solid first-release with strong vocals, and a pretty good variety of electronic and more traditional influences. Be sure to check out the title track Shining Like Stars, and my personal favorite 1 Or a Million. Jake the lead singer, is no doubt and incredibly gifted guitarist which is especially apparent in the two acoustic tracks at the end of the album (**One or a Million Acoustic). I would recommend this album, in general, for anyone who is looking for something from new artists.
Awesome!!!
This album far exceeded my expectations. It was amazing! I loved how it integrated rock and indie genres to create a music very original and hardcore. I also loved the acoustics of this album. Especially "In the End". It was awesome how you intertwined the guitar, cello, and violin. Congradulations guys (and girl) on a great debut album. I hope future albums from you are as good as this one.
Amazing band
I have been a sound technician for five years eq'ing and setting up the stage for many varios band and when I heard The Reaching perform at a event called the Fall Rally up here in the NW I knew I had to buy one of their CD's. Good job guys I expect to see many more great albums from you.
