Wow. What can I say?
I saw these guys play in Seattle a week ago and they are one exciting band to watch. Lots of passion and meaning in their lyrics, too. Without gushing, I can be totally honest and say that in its poetry and musicality, "Go West" is one of the best songs I've ever heard, while "Maria" is flat out fun, and "Feel Good" is profoundly powerful. The songs on this album have a heartfelt and very authentic tone to them. If you like indie-folk-country with a vintage flair, stuff that's in line with the Shins, Ryan Adams, Neko Case, Eels, and Wilco, you'll love Van Gross's "Fake Teeth, Bright as Morning".
