eh, whatever.
This is another uber-cool newmusic hipster bandsemble that sometimes writes it's own music. The recording quality is surprisingly good and the playing is passible, with Andrew Russo and Todd Reynolds holding the newbies together giving them direction. Robin Cox's music sounds for the most part like mid-80's Steve Reich w/ adult contemporary lounge tones, but is only half realized through. The Reichian comparison cannot be ignored and tends to weigh down on the ears very shortly into the album. One can't say that this was the most origional idea but they'll be sure to come out with some more new musicish fluff faster then that. -Bz
