Slick indie electro poppers Matt Locher and Zach Coulter of Solid Gold met in college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2000. They were introduced when a mutual friend at the school was putting together a group. The three made an EP as Solid Gold before that friend was replaced by Adam Hurlburt in 2004.
