Got Skill, but some unneccesary usage of a particular word...
Well, Sevin is definitely talented. He came rap better than many mainstream artists out there, with amazing lyricial talent. The beats are off da hook, and the inclusion of street reality is ingenius. This album goes to show "you can get the gospel where you live." Unfortunately Sevin uses a word which happened to turn me away from his music. I prefer holy hip hop artists like R-Swift who don't "gotta use the n-word to grab my attention." It doesn't help Sevin's music at all, but cripples many of his songs. I was gonna purchase this album but after listening to the samples I discovered his use of this word and it changed my mind =(
Dont Be Confused
By bro tries to get away with using the N word and droppin' glock clockin samples in the backround while reppin Christ. It doesn't work that way. The path is long and NARROW. You cant have it both ways. The message must be pure. The beats are dope, no doubt, but the message could be much better.
Theres no such thing in having 2 feet with Christ and 2 feet in the world
You either serve the Most high or you dont. Bible makes it clear that you cant serve 2 Gods. Listening to the lyrics of Sevin makes it clear where they stand. Guys would Christ him self use the word n i g a ?. My spirit was shaken up listening to this, in other words, the holy spirit was telling me to turn away from this. Sevin ask the Lord how you can improve your music dont ask anyone else but him and hel tell you wazup as he did with me. Aigh take care
