instant classic album!
When I bought and listened to the Veronica Mars soundtrack, there was one song that compelled me to repeat it over and over again...this was the first time I heard Adrienne Pierce. Her tonallly delicate and precise vocals and her metaphoric lyrics allowed me to relate to her song in my own way. I then played that song "Lost & Found" for my best girlfriends and they connected in their own ways to the song aswell. FAULTINE, her newest creation, in my opinion is an instant classic. Atleast, for my collection. She has a very hip and contemporary sound but it's anchored in originality and a bit of an old school hippy feel. Her voice is flowery and her lyrics are little gems with their metaphoric appeal. I highly recommend this album for anyone who enjoys The Sundays, the Cardigans, Joni Mitchel, Jewel and Adrienne Pierce ofcourse!
Bright and brilliant introspective pop
Set against the backdrop of crisp production and solid musicianship, Ms Pierce manages to cultivate some wonderful tunes on this release. Her voice, at times elfin, at times plaintive, at times caught-me-off-guard sexy, is a surprisingly potent means to relay some very deft lyrical points. The songs are playful, light-hearted, tinged with sobriety, serious...running the gamut...as should anything presented by so talented an artist, reflecting the myriad states of Life. Brava!
Good Voice Love Fool's Gold!!
She has a great voice and Iove the song "Fool's Gold". She is definately someone to keep tab on because she will be a threat in times to come. I'm really tempted to go buy the whole album right now. Adrienne Pierce ROX!!!!
