Awesome record
Already listened to the entire thing, just as great as id hoped over the long,long wait. Great collaboration, and with such high profile musicians its a surprise this album is so far under the radar.
By Far, it Was Worth the Wait
Fear and the Nervous System has been in the works for years now, and now that the album is finally released, the years of waiting definitely paid off. The first track, "Hell", paints a vivid image of what is presented throughout the rest of the album. This album describes what rock and roll has always been about - innovation, creativeness, and uniqueness. Ranging from heavy hitters, such as "Choking Victim", "Chosen Ones" and "Jaguar", there are the more mellow, and heart-felt songs like "Beautiful Side" and "Chinatown". The lyrical content presents violent, yet romantic imagery; and the instrumentals evoke the emotion of what a "protagonist" is feeling. There are absolutely no complaints. A perfect balance of both beautiful imagery and hellish imagery, the album as whole paints an image, and writes a story; which is highly refreshing compared to today's unoriginal and cliched modern rock. 5/5
Something Different
So far on my first listen I am loving every bit of this bands debut. Fresh. New. Amazing.
