Beautiful, ethereal, hypnotic
Fernando Lima is called a countertenor. For me, a civilian, that means that he sings in falsetto most of the time. He has an unusual sound: very light, sometimes almost childlike. He sounds very relaxed even at very high notes -- and he goes *very* high. He is classically trained, but he also does some more modern types of music, so I would call him a pop classical crossover musician, using what I gather is a baroque singing style. Some of the music is so hypnotic it borders on an Asian Indian sound.
The sound here is sufficiently unusual that I find it riveting. The background music is generally well done. I would recommend this album as something that sounds very different from other music out there.
