Winter Hours
Used to see Winter Hours at Maxwells in Hoboken back in the 80's. One of my faves. If Nick Drake fronted the Byrds ---that comes somewhat close. Words, like "haunting" & "melodic" do, though. A band that sounds like their name. I keep searching itunes for any sign of re-release--in vain! But someone finally put a tribute together. Blows my mind. About time. Being a fan, the results work for me. Its all I have for now. Not familiar w/ some songs here. So thanks laying them out. But they make me wish I could hear the originals! Thanks to whoever did this. Is this a sign of a resurgance of interest?

not many people remember Winter Hours, but doesn't make this tribute any less stunning. think of it as excellent introduction to these wonderful songs.

I remember seeing Winter Hours back in the 80's on the East Coast and they reminded of a very early REM and a touch of the Mighty Lemon Drops. I often think about them as it's all a little hazy I think this is a nice collection. Glad to see others are fans as well and the band really did make a small impact.
