Field of Dreams
Very inspiring.
From the Heart
Kim Baker's music is as open-hearted as it gets. Her voice projects a raw and vulnerable quality that shines on the ballads like "Pray to the Rain" and still underscores all the power she also projects in the edgier rock songs like "A Brighter Day". She quickly draws the listener into her innermost musings on love, spirituality, and the human experience. Her music is effortlessly hooky and easily plants itself in your memory. I found myself humming catchy melody lines, then listening again to learn the lyrics so I could sing along. What I found was the treasure that is her message: "We are all suffering sometimes, but the joy is in the experience, whatever it may be. Speak from your heart and the truth will set you free." Amen, sister!
