All Three Songs Are Excellent

Fighting In a Sack is a rowdy, upbeat track that's fun to listen to. Baby Boomerang has slowly and quietly become one of my favorite Shins songs ever. They've managed to take the classic blues progression and somehow adapted it to their distinctive sound, and the result is a refreshing, groovy, syncopated track. New Slang is an amazing song, and this live version is a nice bonus to the EP. All in all, if you're already a Shins fan this is a must buy. If you don't know them, get some of their early albums first - but once you fall in love, make sure to pick up these songs!

Quit teasing us...

My need for new intelligent music will go unsated until the next release. I love the Shins. There is no band in their league for creativity and innovation.

Worthy of worship

The Shins are the next big undiscovered thing, and they're better than any other non-metallic alternative band going. They're one of the few in a long time that have come along and been able to surprise me with their inventiveness. They're without the formulas that disinform so much of music. Their compositions and poetry are complete works from beginning to end...filler free. Gobble them up, every morsel; I'm telling you!
