An Exceptional Debut
With a little air time, there is nothing stopping Donny Todd from becoming a hit on the pop/acoustic scene. "Find Myself" is a sterling example of the less-is-more approach to production, as Todd's catchy lyrics, acoustic guitar hooks, and enchanting vocal are more than enough to elevate each track above the sum of its parts. Standouts among the tracks with full-band accompaniment include "Courtyard" and "Fade Away." "Fantasy" and "Smoking Gun" are especially memorable as unplugged clinics in melodic songwriting. Look for an incarnation of "Smoking Gun" to be a runaway radio smash. Undoubtedly, Donny Todd has a very bright future ahead, and it's only a matter of time before others will find Donny Todd while he's busy finding himself.
