Frampton REALLY Comes Alive!
by AddisonSlabaughWow! Frampton is one of those guys that definitely isn't a "has-been". This new album really shows that he can break the mold of his old characterizations and instate a new, fresh sense of himself. I think that this album combined with his many past albums show his versatility, creativity and certainly his will to put forth new material. He's one of the best musicians out there bar none!
Good Music
by oahujimThis is a good album with alot of variety. Several songs sound alot like Jeff Beck, but I like the melody better than in alot of Jeff Beck songs. "Black Hole Sun" is what Black Sabbath would sound like if they were better than they are. It has lots of great colors in it. "Float" sounds like Roger Waters playing in On An Island. "Blooze" sounds alot like Duane Allman. Traces of the lead guitar from Wishbone Ash later on. I forget the song. I'm glad I bought this. It is all really good and even though it sounds like alot of recognizeable styles, it doesn't sound the least bit derivative - because the pieces are original, creative and well played. Frampton sounds great in all of these styles.
Buy Black Hole Sun
by Tim ForemanBuy Black Hole Sun!!! It is the best song ever! It has a rock/heavy metal sound to it. It is purely instrumental. At one point in the song, there is a guitar duel between two guitars. Black Hole Sun is a purely phenomenal song!
