Amazing!
Every so often an artist comes along that is able to communicate the emotions of the heart in a way that cannot be described. Everett Thomas is such an artist. This is what music should be a movement of emotion and soul.

Shadows from yesterday's greats...
Firesong is an excellent first offering from this young St. Louis-bred songwriter. The poetry in the lyrics will remind you of Dylan, the warmth in the melody brings Paul Simon to mind, the passion and pain breathes Neil Young, the arrangements, like a young Ryan Adams & the Cardinals. As good as those elements are, though, the highlight of the song is really his voice- simultaneously smoky and smooth, passionate yet a bit reserved as if to leave you wanting more. From what I can hear from this first single, I'm looking forward to much more from Thomas in the full record when it comes out-
