Not A Regular Leaether Strip Fan
You know, when I first came to the industrial scene, I wasn't a fan of LS. I think it was because of the songs I was introduced to. Slow ones with drowning lyrics about sexual perversions - to "uber goth" for me to handle, so I ignored the band. As time went on I heard songs that I liked and found out they were by Leaether Strip. Surprised the hell out of me! I bought the title track of the album "Fit For Flogging" and loved it. The rest of the album doesn't dissapoint, so I bought it as well. Nice old school industrial beats that really get the blood pumping for the old days. "Antius" and "Black Gold" I dance to all the time. I love their beat that over time has come to still present tough competition to the bands of today. If you get any L.S. cd, get this one. It covers what I feel is THE pinnacle of their music career.
