Five Stars for Five Steller Guys for Maktub Five!
A breath of Fresh Air is what I feel when i heard this new Album by Seattle's Maktub. Slipping Away is a great open song.My Favorite track is "It's never Enough. Took it all Away sold it it for me. Reggie Watts,Kevin Goldman,Davis Martin,Daniel Spils,Thaddeaus have prove themselves on this awesome release. Please buy and play with friends or someone you love-will not be sorry.

If you don't have FIVE you're jive. This is smooth like a silk scarf in one ear and out the other. Just be ready for the odd weave of Strange World and a weird tickle when Mystery of You passes through. Davis Martin does a whack timing thing with his kit but even though your face'll get all twisted sideways, the dang thing works! In good part thanks to Kevin Goldman's bass work and Mr. Spils keys keeping up and making it a masterful thing. Thaddeus Turner's guitar is all over this whole thing keeping it real or making it otherworldly where needed. Love to Stay for instance gives me shivers with it's eerie reminder of Bob Welch's work on "old" Fleetwood Mac's Future Games. Then they all close this thing with The Alchemist. Another one that dredges up memories, this time One of These Days off Meddle. And neither is derivative, they're just flat out beautiful!! As are Reggie Watts vocals.... As always. I can't get enough of this band's work. Try it and you'll be hooked in the ear bone too.

I'm happy with FIVE and thrilled to have had Michael Cozzi engineer, produce and mix the entire album! Thanks Maktub fans for hanging out with us for the last decade.
