Buy This Album!
Great album! This talented singer/songwriter and pianist really shines on this her first solo album. After years of performing and recording vocals for popular dance tracks, Jaren has gone back to her roots on this folk/pop album. There is a genuine sincerity in her unbelievable voice that has become unfamiliar in this age of the auto-tuner and her insightful and heartfelt lyrics are refreshingly original and void of cliches. Expect big things from this small town girl.

An Essential Solo Debut
A sweeping debut solo album by Jaren. The words in this review cannot describe how remarkably talented this singer-songwriter really is. Her voice fills the space between Annie Lennox and Norah Jones with a new identity: Jaren. Masterfully produced by Alar Suurna and Jerker Eklund, this is blissful American folk-pop at its best. Whether it is raining, or the sun is shining, the music here evokes both spectrums in a powerfully subtle balance. "You're The One" has television show written all over it. It's that pop song you hear on the commercial of your favorite TV show. That song that picks you up in just 4 bars and keeps you up there. It's the end of an uplifting film - with the camera rising up to reveal the city lights coming on over the convertible, that drives away into the dusk. The whole CD is on repeat in my player, and I cannot pick a favorite track. I can't remember the last time that happened to me.
