Love your peaceful notes!
I remember the first time I heard you. I was at a raw vegan dinner thing in L.A. a few years back. I remember eating delicious food and hearing your music play in the air....what a perfect moment. Right then I knew I had to have more. Thank you! Do your best in London! I'll definitely try to make it the next time you play live in L.A. For all you fans you HAVE to listen to her live. Put that on your list of things to do before you die. At least up there in the top ten.
I've been listening to it for months...
The style is quiet folk with the teensiest bit of twang. She writes interesting melodies and her lo-fi production makes them shine. She has a nice easy vocal quality that is very appealing. Kind of down home-y and also very emotional. The way it quivers when she’s in a more pleading mood. (Tear Us into Pieces). Stand out songs: Counter Attack (reminds me a little of Neko Case in tone), Speed, and London Town. But honestly, they’re all pretty good!

I used to hang with Lucy a while a while ago, even tried to make music with her. She lives and breathes music, she'll play with anytime, anywhere, and with anyone. There comes a time in everyone's life where the struggle ends and the payoff begins. This is her beginning. Great "debut" even though she's been doing it forever. Overloaded is my favorite. Who knows maybe BSG will work someday. ;)
