Aaron Zigman's Flicka Movie Scores

I had gone to see the movie when it had come out with my friend. I thought the movie was excellent but being a horse person, my friend and I could make comments out loud about what they did wrong with the movie. (we were the only two in the theater) Overall it was a great movie and what really caught me was the instumentals(scores) from the movie and I listened to some of them from the flicka website. I had gotten an iPod with $75 worth of itunes music and the first thing I bought were the scores. I fell in love with it, and it being with me wherever I go is great. My mother even loved it and asked me to burn her a CD so she could listen to it in her car. Overall if you love great instrumentals or are wondering if you should buy it, I would say "go for it!"

Purely amazing

I just have to say, when I first saw this movie I was on a plane flying back West after 6 long, horrid months of living in the East. I had been born and raised in the West and we were going back there to stay. I bawled during this movie...because it was about how mustangs represented the Wild West and what America should be (that and so much more) and because horses are my favorite animals.....I was just like 'Wow' . And while the plot line and characters and everything was amazing, my love for this movie was almost entirely because of this music.......it was outstanding. I loved the "Flicka Chase" theme (I think those are xylophones playing). It is "western" music through and through and it will inspire anyone to want to get on a mustang and gallop across the land as fast as possible. Five stars. This music was the best score I've heard in a long time.

Perfection for Flicka

Flicka was an excellent film. The score provided the inspiration you needed to feel while Katy rode Flicka into the distance, or perhaps even during the tender moments, such as when Katy offers Flicka a green apple. The cinematography was good, the acting was great (Alison Lohman and Ryan Kwanten were perfect for their roles) and the film left audiences on one of the most inspirational notes known to me. Katy describes in one beautiful word how riding Flicka makes her feel... free.
